Job summary

LER TechForce, LLC. is seeking an Engineer to support battery production line projects in Liberty, NC.

You will collaborate with a cross-functional team, plan equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and launch activities, and participate in clean room protocols for battery manufacturing. The role requires experience with capital projects, detailed scheduling, and strong collaboration across domestic and international teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or similar technical field.
• 5+ years equivalent experience in production preparation or capital projects.
• Project management experience with capital investments > $0.5M.
• Experience creating and maintaining detailed manufacturing equipment installation schedules.
• Experience with high volume manufacturing support and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings for facilities and process equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Engineers, Construction Management Group, Technicians, Vendors and General Contractors to meet project milestones.
• Plan and execute equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, pre-production trials and launch of battery production lines.
• Participate in clean room protocols for battery manufacturing.
• Support manufacturing trials to verify equipment safety, quality and efficiency.
• Identify punchlist items, perform root cause analysis and implement countermeasures.
• Summarize KPIs, assist with mass-production handover and resolve production issues.
• Engage cross-functional teams domestically and internationally to discuss schedules and milestones.
• Create and maintain detailed area schedules and manage budgets for assigned areas.
• Complete internal and external training.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Working in a collaborative team environment (supporting other Engineers, Construction Management Group, Technicians, Vendors, General Contractors, etc.) to achieve project milestones.


• Equipment procurement, installation planning to execution, commissioning, pre-production trials, and launch of battery production lines.


• Participate in advanced cleanliness protocols (clean room) necessary for assigned area of battery manufacturing.


• Supporting battery manufacturing trials to confirm equipment safety, quality, operation availability, and overall efficiency.


• Punchlist item identification, root cause analysis, and countermeasure management.


• KPI summarization, mass-production handover, and production issues support.


• Cross-functional team engagement (domestic and international) to discuss open items and key project schedules/milestones.


• Creating and maintaining detailed schedules for assigned areas.


• Maintain budgets for assigned areas.


• Completing internal and external training.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or similar technical field or 5+ years equivalent.


• Experience in production preparation and execution of capital projects, preferably from initial strategy planning to the start of mass production.


• Project management experience dealing with capital investments greater than $0.5M.


• Experience in creating and maintaining detailed schedules including milestone achievement for manufacturing equipment installation.


• Experience with high volume manufacturing support and troubleshooting ability.


• Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings including building facilities and process equipment drawings.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).


• Ability for business travel, both domestic and international, is up to 25%.


• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and shutdown periods (such as July and December shutdown) as needed, based on project condition and schedule.

PREFERRED:

• Hands of experience with PowerBI for data analysis and data visualization.


• Automotive or OEM manufacturing experience.


• Battery manufacturing experience.
