Blue Diamond Civil Engineering in Las Vegas is seeking a Civil Engineer/CAD designer to develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from concepts and calculations, using AutoCAD.

You will work with the engineering team and principal to ensure accurate design plans and compliance with industry standards, including site plots, grading, and site improvements for multifamily, commercial, and industrial developments.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of engineering-related calculations and drainage design.
• Experience with Flowmaster, HEC-1, HEC-RAS, WSPG, and Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts and calculations.
• Prepare plans using AutoCAD and maintain drafting standards.

Position Overview

• Prepare plans using AutoCAD software; maintain updated knowledge and drafting standards
• Interact with the engineering team and the Blue Diamond Civil Engineering
• Principal to understand project requirements and deliver accurate design plans
• Develop designs for site plot and grading, and site improvement plans for multifamily, commercial, and industrial developments
• Adhere to project time schedules
• Demonstrate detail-oriented, analytical, inquisitive, and creative qualities

• Prepare plans using AutoCAD software; maintain updated knowledge, drafting standards, and industry trends
• Produce draft designs and diagrams according to the given specifications
• Interact with the engineering team and the Blue Diamond Civil Engineering Principal to understand project requirements and deliver accurate design plans
• Ensure all drawings and plans are compliant with the industry standards and regulations
• Develop designs for site plots and grading, and site improvement plans for multifamily, commercial, and industrial developments

Qualifications

• Hold a current bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (preferred)
• Understand and utilize engineering-related calculations, basic structural engineering, drainage design, traffic site layouts, hydraulic and hydrologic engineering calculations for technical studies
• Preferred technical software knowledge: Flowmaster, HEC-1, HEC-RAS, WSPG, and Microsoft Office

Qualifications

• Hold a current bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (preferred)
• Understand and utilize engineering-related calculations, basic structural engineering, drainage design, traffic site layouts, hydraulic and hydrologic engineering calculations for technical studies
