Job summary

Granger-Construction in Lansing, MI is seeking a hands-on Construction Project Manager to help turn plans into reality. You will support pre-construction efforts, coordinate communications, and help manage budgets on diverse projects.

The role emphasizes safety, timely closeouts, and partnering with owners and teams. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in building construction management or civil engineering and at least one year of PM experience, plus BIM and CM software skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in building construction management, civil engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum one year of project management experience in construction or engineering.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to lead by example.
• Proactive problem-solving and initiative.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic and dedication to meeting deadlines.
• Ability to see the big picture while focusing on detail.
• Comfort with technology and willingness to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Act as the central hub for project communication, ensuring clear and consistent information flow.
• Manage project costs, including reviewing budgets, processing change orders, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Champion safety by reporting concerns, implementing corrective actions, and upholding safe work practices.
• Assist with project closeout activities, ensuring a smooth handover to the owner.
