Job summary

DPS Group is seeking a Project Engineer with electrical experience to support a pharmaceutical client in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area. The role focuses on electrical processes and standby power systems, as well as commissioning and validation procedures in a GMP environment.

You will lead cross-functional teams, develop project schedules, perform risk assessments, and update URS/CP/COMV documents to ensure milestones align with equipment lead times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Life Science related field.
• 5+ years of Life Science Capital Project experience. Knowledge of electrical and power systems. Experience with commissioning and validation procedures in a GMP environment.
• Understanding of diverse engineering principles and application to the design and implementation of major system modifications, experiments, process and/or capital projects.
• Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travelers and relocation.

• Develop project estimates and conduct risk assessments.
• Develop detailed project schedules and conduct risk assessments.
• Provide process optimization strategies or troubleshooting of site utilities operation and Electrical systems.
• Review/update URS.
• Update commissioning plan for standby power system.
• Develop commissioning verification (COMV) protocol.
• Update sensor risk assessment (SRA).
• Update SOPs and work instructions as necessary.
• Update CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for prioritization of electrical processes in preparation for CQV activities.
• Responsible for managing cross functional teams, aligning project deliverables between internal and external stakeholders, and developing project schedules to ensure key milestones are in line with equipment lead times.
• Develop project estimates and conduct risk assessments on same.
• Develop detailed project schedules and conduct risk assessments on same.
• Provide process optimization strategies and/or trouble shooting of operational issues of site utilities operation and Electrical systems.
• Review/update system specification document (URS).
• Update commissioning plan (CP) for standby power system
• Develop commissioning verification (COMV) protocol.
• Update sensor risk assessment (SRA).
• Update SOPs and work instructions as necessary.
• Update CMMS.

Skills And Qualifications
