Position Summary

The Advanced Technology Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our U.S. based A&E design operation to support advanced technology projects across the globe. These challenging positions involve working as part of a multi‑discipline, highly interactive and coordinated team focused on semiconductor tool install projects within state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facilities. Projects for our clients include feasibility studies, long‑range planning studies, and full design services including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and services during construction for design/bid/build and design/build projects. Successful candidates will be self‑motivated individuals with strong communication skills. They will exhibit a passion and desire to apply their professional experience and knowledge in a team environment on technically challenging and professionally rewarding projects. Key Responsibilities
  • Be a Global Subject‑Matter‑Expert (SME) for the Advanced Technology Group, leading and controlling the design for electrical systems related to semiconductor tool install projects.
  • Strong understanding of engineering lifecycle related to electrical deliverables.
  • Work directly with clients, project managers, engineers, and architects to design coordinated best‑in‑class electrical systems for advanced manufacturing, process, and R&D facilities.
  • Detailed design experience for electrical systems and strong understanding of National Electrical Codes, Standards, and International Building Codes.
  • Experience performing electric service calculations, designing electrical distribution systems, designing lighting and lighting control systems, selecting, and scheduling equipment, and designing electrical equipment layouts.
  • Responsibilities will likely include demonstrated understanding of switchgear design, low, medium, and high voltage, single line diagrams, line, etc.
  • Ability to coordinate and interact effectively with other MEP disciplines.
  • Identifying deliverables, defining requirements, creating, and reviewing design drawings.
  • Develop technical specifications.
  • Participate in team coordination activities with other disciplines, sub‑contractors, and clients.
  • Able and willing to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety shoes, hard hats, safety glasses, fire‑retardant clothing, cut‑resistant gloves, and other PPE as required per the client safety policies when required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Minimum qualification of BSc in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required, or on track to obtain P.E. in the near future.
  • Minimum 5+ years experience performing industrial high‑tech facilities engineering design preferred. Alternatively, other industrial facilities systems design will be considered if less than above mentioned request.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and applicable engineering software. Experience using REVIT in a BIM environment desirable.
  • Strong relevant engineering/design experience in industrial/advanced technology sector.
  • Excellent English level - written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of electrical specific design standards, with a current understanding of National Electrical Codes (NEC), NFPA, and applicable international building codes.
  • Ability to interact with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels, and be able to work with remote teams in different times zones and geography.
  • Local candidates preferred. Will entertain relocation for candidates with directly related experience.
  • Ability to provide valid work authorization for U.S. employment.
