Job summary

Newfield Construction is seeking a Project Engineer with a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and 1–3 years of project engineering experience in public and private sectors. Proficiency in MS Office, Procore, and BlueBeam is expected. The role involves submittals, RFIs, and basic cost control, with scheduling support using MS Project or Primavera P6.

Team collaboration is essential. Experience with CT High Performance Building Standards and closeout procedures is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of project engineering experience in public and private sectors.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Procore or similar DMS, BlueBeam Revu/Studio.
• Experience in submittals, shop drawings and RFIs; basic change management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meeting minutes and project correspondence.
• Review and process submittals, shop drawings and RFIs.
• Support cost control and basic change management procedures.
• Assist scheduling using MS Project or Primavera P6 (plus).
• Collaborate in a team-focused project environment.

Job description

For the position of Project Engineer, the candidate should have a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field and have a minimum of 1-3 years of project engineering experience in both the public and private sectors. The candidate should be proficient in the following:

• Use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, Etc.)


• Use of Document Management Software (Procore or similar)


• Use of BlueBeam Revu & BlueBeam Studio


• Preparation of Meeting Minutes & Project Correspondence


• Review & Processing of Submittals, Shop Drawings and RFI's


• Basic Change Management & Cost Control Procedures


• Scheduling Using MS Project, Primavera P-6 or similar (not a requirement, but a plus)


• Familiar with CT High Performance Building Standards and Closeout Procedures


• Ability to work and thrive in a team environment
