Job summary

Rauch & Associates in Greenville, SC, is seeking a Project Engineer to lead engineering projects from concept through production within a global manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering projects from concept through production launch.

  • Manage ECNs and ensure manufacturing documentation is accurate.

Job description

A well-established global manufacturer is adding a Project Engineer to its North American operation. In this role, you’ll lead engineering projects from concept through production, collaborate with global engineering teams, and serve as a key technical resource for strategic customer programs. You’ll also support manufacturing by maintaining accurate product data, engineering documentation, and change management processes that help ensure quality, efficiency, and on-time production.

What you’ll be doing
  • Lead engineering projects from concept through production launch across a heavy industrial product portfolio.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams on product design, development, and manufacturing support.
  • Serve as the primary engineering contact for key customer programs and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), routings, product costing, and manufacturing data within an ERP system.
  • Manage engineering change notices (ECNs) and ensure manufacturing documentation remains accurate and up to date.
  • Support prototype builds, product validation, manufacturing improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or 7+ years of engineering or project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading projects and collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams.
  • Working knowledge of 3D CAD software such as Solid Edge, Creo, or Pro/ENGINEER.
  • Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing documentation preferred.
  • Exposure to nesting software (such as SigmaNest) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and general manufacturing safety practices.
