Shimmick is seeking a Project Engineer to support the North Hollywood to Pasadena BRT project in the greater Los Angeles area, based in Glendale, CA. The role involves assisting in day-to-day project activities, reviewing drawings and submittals, and coordinating with subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery and safety.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Engineering or Construction Management with substantial heavy civil construction experience, including transportation infrastructure.
Shimmick is seeking a talented and experienced Project Engineer to be based in the greater Los Angeles area. In this role, you will initially support the North Hollywood to Pasadena Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project, a progressive 19-mile transit corridor connecting North Hollywood, Burbank, Glendale, Eagle Rock, and Pasadena. Featuring 22 new stations, the BRT line is designed to provide faster and more reliable transit options, reduce traffic congestion, and improve air quality by utilizing zero-emission electric buses.

Shimmick’s Southwest Division, headquartered in Irvine, California, focuses on large public owners in Southern California, across water resources, water treatment, transportation, and transit markets. Over the past decade, the division has grown tremendously, securing major projects, including the $828 million Gerald Desmond Bridge, the first cable-stayed vehicular bridge in California.

The salary range for this position is between $140,000-$165,000per year depending on experience and/or education.
