Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Michigan is seeking a project/lead engineer to perform detailed hardware safety analyses and ensure ISO 26262 compliance. You will develop DFMEA, FMEDA, DFA models and drive safety activities on complex electronics projects.

Responsibilities include preparing hardware-software interface specifications, creating test plans and cases, and conducting worst-case and stress analyses to validate designs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in CS or EE or ETE or related field.
• 5 months experience as Project/Lead Engineer or related role.
• Experience with hardware safety analyses (DFMEA, FMEDA, DFA).

Responsibilities

• Conduct DFMEA, FMEDA and DFA analyses per ISO 26262.
• Prepare hardware-software interface specifications and test plans/cases.
• Perform worst-case analysis and component stress validation.
• Support safety audits and develop safety case using Medini Analyzer.

Job description

• Perform detailed hardware safety analyses such as Hardware Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Failure Modes, Effects, Diagnostic Analysis (FMEDA) and Dependent Failure Analysis (DFA) in compliance with ISO 26262 standards.
• Prepare Hardware-Software Interface (HSI) specifications and create test plans and test cases for hardware unit-level validation.
• Perform WorstCase Analysis (WCA) and component stress analysis to validate design robustness.
• Support functional safety audits and develop safety case using the Medini Analyzer tool.
• Accept BS with 5- year experience as MS.
• Primary worksite is Farmington Hills MI but relocation possible.
• Req: Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering or related field with 5 months experience as Project or Lead Engineer or Manager or Design Release Engineer or Team Lead or related.
