Job description

Project Engineer

Play an integral role in Worley's Energy and Process Infrastructure team, helping deliver projects that support the safe, reliable, and sustainable production, transportation, processing, and delivery of energy across North America. As customers invest in modernizing facilities, improving operational performance, expanding infrastructure, and advancing energy transition initiatives, you will help guide projects from concept through execution while ensuring technical excellence, safety, and successful delivery.

Based in Denver, you will support projects across refining, pipeline, terminal, storage, gas processing, carbon capture, and related energy infrastructure markets. Working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams and customer stakeholders, you will help deliver innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency, reliability, environmental performance, and long-term asset value.

You will serve as a critical link between engineering disciplines, project leadership, customers, contractors, and stakeholders, helping translate business and operational needs into practical project execution strategies. Through strong technical expertise and effective collaboration, you will contribute to projects that enhance facility performance, improve operational reliability, reduce risk, and support the evolving energy landscape.

As a member of this team, you will collaborate with process, mechanical, pipeline, civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation, environmental, and project professionals to deliver integrated engineering solutions that support critical energy systems and infrastructure investments.

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable environmental, health, safety, regulatory, and engineering standards.

  • Collaborating with customer operations, maintenance, reliability, and project teams to support successful project outcomes.

  • Identifying project risks, developing mitigation strategies, and helping resolve technical and execution challenges.

  • Supporting procurement activities including technical bid evaluations, equipment reviews, material selection, and contractor coordination.

  • Managing relationships with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure project requirements are achieved safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

  • Utilizing engineering software and project management tools to support project execution, reporting, and engineering coordination.

  • Supporting troubleshooting, operational improvement initiatives, and engineering studies that improve performance, reliability, safety, and asset utilization.
