Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers, Superintendents, and field crews to deliver heavy civil projects from start to finish.
  • Manage budgets, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and material costs.
  • Support field operations including concrete, site utilities, and earthwork.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and track quantities through execution.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Prepare, maintain, and monitor project schedules.
  • Administer subcontracts and assist with monthly progress billings.
  • Monitor project changes and change orders; coordinate with accounting on AR/AP.

We're seeking a motivated and driven Project Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing field operations with project management responsibilities and wants to develop into a future Project Manager.

What You'll Do

As a Project Engineer, you'll work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, owners, subcontractors, and field crews to help deliver successful heavy civil construction projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project budgets, including labor, equipment, subcontractors, and material costs.
  • Support and coordinate field operations involving structural concrete, concrete flatwork, site utilities, and mass earthwork.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and quantity tracking throughout project execution.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Prepare, maintain, and monitor project schedules.
  • Issue, administer, and manage subcontracts.
  • Assist with monthly progress billings and project forecasting.
  • Identify, document, and manage project changes and change orders.
  • Collaborate with Accounting on accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
  • Monitor project costs, productivity, and financial performance.

    • Understanding of project controls, forecasting, and construction financial management.
