Job summary

L7 Construction, Inc. is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support our water and wastewater construction projects across Central Florida.

You will work with the Project Manager, field crews, and clients to ensure projects run efficiently and meet quality standards. Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering or Construction Management background, 1–3 years of relevant experience, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Equivalent work experience accepted).
• 1–3 years of experience in construction or project engineering, ideally in water and wastewater.
• Basic knowledge of water/wastewater systems and construction processes.
• Familiarity with construction plans, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and executing water and wastewater projects (plants, pipelines, upgrades).
• Collaborate with PMs, superintendents, and field teams to meet schedule, scope, and budget.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and material procurement activities.
• Support preparation and submission of project reports and documentation.
• Review and assist with managing project specifications, drawings, and contracts.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and quality control procedures.
• Assist with management of subcontractors and vendors; ensure timely delivery of materials/services.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate with clients and team members.
• Provide technical support to field teams and troubleshoot construction issues.
• Maintain project records (submittals, change orders, RFIs).
• Contribute to a safe, collaborative, and efficient work environment.

Job Overview:

L7 Construction, Inc. is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will support the Project Manager in coordinating and managing water and wastewater construction projects. You will work alongside the field team, Superintendents, and clients to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and meet quality standards. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field Equivalent work experience accepted.
• 1-3 years of experience in construction or project engineering, ideally within the water and wastewater industry
• Basic knowledge of water/wastewater systems and construction processes
• Familiarity with construction plans, specifications, and technical documents
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Experience with Procore is a plus
