Job summary

Balfour Beatty is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to join our education/municipal team in Dallas, TX. You will support the Project Manager and Sr.

Project Engineer with planning, scheduling, and coordination to deliver quality projects on time and within budget. You will help with submittals, material coordination, and maintaining safety culture while developing client relations and project administration duties.

Qualifications

• BS in construction management or related field preferred.
• At least one six-month intern/co-op with a construction company.
• Proficiency with PC and standard software (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager and Sr. Project Engineer with planning and execution.
• Maintain project schedules and manage submittal approvals.
• Coordinate material deliveries and monitor budgets.

The Project Engineer is an entry-level position that assists the Project Manager and Sr. Project Engineer with the planning and daily execution of construction projects. Responsible for maintaining certain aspects of the project schedule, as assigned by the Project Manager, by managing the process of submittal approvals, coordinating the timely delivery of materials, and maintaining schedules and budgets to ensure projects are completed with quality, profitability, and while complying with our Safety/Zero Harm culture.

Minimum Requirements

• B.S. (Construction Management degrees preferred)

• Proficiency in using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, the internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook)
