Job summary

Cindavi is seeking a hands-on Project Engineer in Sinton, Texas to own capital projects from scope through startup. You will collaborate with internal teams, engineering firms, and contractors to ensure safe, timely execution at the mill.

You will spend time in the field, coordinate bids, and influence purchasing decisions, driving tangible results in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering degree.
• 3–5+ years of hands-on project engineering experience, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to own multiple phases of a capital project and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Are you a hands-on Project Engineer ready to make an immediate mark on major plant investments?

Job Summary

We are hiring a Project Engineer in Sinton, Texas to take ownership of high-impact capital projects across our mill. This is a role for an engineer who wants more than a narrow slice of the project lifecycle. You will help turn ideas into operating assets, from defining scope and developing designs through equipment purchasing, construction, installation, and implementation.

Our projects are varied, visible, and hands-on. One week, you may be advancing work on a well, storage tank, air compressor, filtration system, or facility upgrade. The next, you may be partnering with an engineering firm, leading a bid process, or coordinating contractors in the field. Duties

• Own capital projects through the full lifecycle: scope development, design, bidding, equipment selection, purchasing, construction, installation, and startup.
• Partner with internal teams, engineering firms, vendors, and contractors to keep projects aligned, safe, and moving forward.
• Get into the field to clarify needs, solve problems, coordinate execution, and turn plans into completed work.
• Support capital initiatives across the engineering department and throughout the mill.
• Build early momentum by defining project scope and advancing designs, bids, and purchasing decisions.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering degree.
• 3-5+ more years of hands-on project engineering experience, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• A demonstrated ability to own multiple phases of a capital project rather than supporting only one part of the process.
• Experience with equipment, utilities, facilities, construction, or process-related projects.
• The initiative, energy, and accountability to work independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
• Confidence coordinating engineering firms, suppliers, and contractors in a field-based setting.

This is a fully onsite, Monday through Friday role with a typical 40-45 hour workweek and no travel requirement.
