Job summary

BrightView Landscapes, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer to support the project management team in delivering large-scale commercial landscape construction projects. You will assist with planning, coordination, and oversight to ensure on-time delivery within scope.

The role requires strong written and verbal communication, organization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus; in-office presence is required and collaboration with clients, vendors, and internal

Qualifications

• B.A degree in Landscape Architecture, civil engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent work experience
• Proficient with computer software programs, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and project management software
• Strong work ethic
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Customer service experience
• Bilingual (Spanish)

Responsibilities

• Work with the construction team to ensure services meet contract specs, on budget, on schedule, and with high quality
• Perform takeoffs using OST and gather pricing
• Review take-offs with estimating team
• Manage document control including submittals, change orders, field production tracking, purchasing documentation, and contract administration
• Prepare reports and information as requested
• Coordinate between branches, field employees, sales, estimating, and management
• Work closely with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and employees; ensure exceptional customer service and quality
• Support PM as part of a small team
• Manage timelines and deliverables
• Learn our computer programs and systems
• Very well organized
• Self-motivated and manages multiple tasks

Job Summary

The Project Engineer supports the project management team in executing large-scale commercial landscape construction projects. This role works closely with the Project Manager to assist with planning, coordination, and oversight, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Work with the construction team to ensure that all construction services are delivered according to contract specifications, on budget, according to schedule, and with a high standard of quality
• Perform takeoffs using Onscreen Take-off (OST) and gather pricing for estimates
• Review take-offs with the estimating team
• Manage document control, including submittals, change orders, field production tracking, purchasing documentation, and contract administration
• Prepare reports and information as requested
• Coordinate between the branch administrative team, field employees, sales team, estimating team, and branch management regularly
• Work closely with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and employees; ensure exceptional customer service and quality at all times
• Ability to work on a small team “reporting” to a PM
• Manage timelines and deliverables
• Ability to learn our computer programs and systems
• Very well organized
• Self-motivated and understands timeline demand and ability to manage multiple tasks/jobs at once

Education And Experience

• B.A degree in Landscape Architecture, civil engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent work experience

Physical Demands/Requirements

• Constant operation of a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, a cell phone, and printers/copiers
• Position is sedentary; must be able to remain in a stationary position for a majority of the time
• Operates in an office environment and requires in-person presence
• Ability to maintain, in your possession at all times, required medications to address any known allergic reactions should they occur

Compensation Pay Range

$65,000-$70,000/year depending on experience
