Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Project Engineer for Steam Turbine / HRSG to provide technical project management and coordination across ST/HRSG projects. You will serve as the technical liaison among customers and EPCs, drive issue resolution, and ensure contract compliance.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required. Proficiency with ANSYS, NX, Python, and VBA is preferred. Relocation assistance is offered, with a pay range of $72,000–$108,000 and discretionary annual bonus.

Job Description Summary

Project Engineer for Steam Turbine / Heat Recovery Steam Generator (ST/HRSG) with GE Vernova, provides technical project management, technical direction, and drives coordination of engineering activities and critical issue resolution for OTR-related issues for all assigned ST and/or HRSG projects. The ST/HRSG Project Engineer functions as the technical liaison for the Customer and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) representatives to ensure that the supplied design documentation and equipment fully complies with the contract requirements and drives continuous improvement in project execution. This position reports to the Project Engineering Leader (Americas) - Manager of Steam Turbine and HRSG.

Job Description Roles and Responsibilities
  • Providing continuous improvement and operational leadership as single point contact for all customer technical inquiries, change requests, and communications for all topics related to the ST and/or HRSG and any associated auxiliaries (ST/HRSG Project Engineer scope)
  • Driving lessons learned back into the design engineering organizations to avoid repeating issues
  • Providing technical guidance to Project Management and Applications/Regional Customer Applications Engineering
  • Conducting Customer Kick-Off Meetings (CKOMs) and/or Design Liaison Meetings (DLMs) with customers and/or their design representatives (EPCs)
  • Reviewing contract documentation and communicating project requirements to all design functions, utilizing internal documentation systems and regular communication with internal engineering organizations
  • Evaluating the financial/schedule impacts of customer-requested scope changes via Cost & Cycle Estimates (CCEs) and implementing changes agreed to by Change Orders via the Change Management Process
  • Supporting resolution of cross-functional design complexities and working to resolve technical issues
  • Mitigating engineering schedule issues and taking preventative action to avoid delivery delays or late customer deliverables
  • Managing the Engineering Budget and providing quarterly Estimate at Completions (EACs) to Finance
  • Providing technical support to engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, suppliers, and installation personnel to ensure equipment meets all customer requirements and business objectives
  • Presenting project issue resolutions periodically to upper management, highlighting risks, and creating action plans to remedy the risks
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university (Preferably in Mechanical, Civil, Process, Chemical, or Aeronautical Engineering)

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $72,000.00 and $108,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
