Job summary

Manpower, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer to plan and lead capital projects in a GMP environment, translating requirements into clear plans and coordinating cross-functional teams.

You will monitor budgets, schedules, and safety, while driving continuous improvement from concept to startup. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in mechanical or chemical engineering with 3–5+ years in chemical/manufacturing settings, and are proficient in AutoCAD and 3D modeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or a relevant field.
• 3–5+ years of project engineering, project management, or related engineering experience in a chemical, consumer goods, or related manufacturing environment.
• AutoCAD and 3D modeling experience (including viewing/working with 3D models).
• Understanding of P&IDs (piping & instrumentation diagrams).
• Strong safety mindset and ability to collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, Procurement, and external contractors while communicating effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute multiple engineering projects from concept and design through installation, commissioning, and startup.
• Define project scope, technical requirements, deliverables, budgets, resource needs, schedules, and milestones.
• Manage project performance against scope, budget, schedule, quality, and safety requirements; monitor expenditures and implement corrective actions.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and technical challenges using engineering judgment and problem-solving.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, suppliers, and contractors; communicate status, risks, and recommendations.

Our client, a specialty chemicals and ingredients company that manufactures, processes, and distributes raw materials used in consumer products, food, personal care, pharmaceutical, and industrial applications is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team in. As a Project Engineer, you will support the CAPEX & New Business Initiatives program by planning, leading, and coordinating capital project execution in a GMP environment.
