Client: Emerald Strategy Partners

About Emerald Strategy Group

Emerald Strategy Group is a multidisciplinary advisory firm operating at the intersection of infrastructure, industry, and energy. We serve global hyperscale data center operators, infrastructure investors, and Fortune 500 clients with end-to-end execution — from strategy to technical delivery.

We are looking for a Project Engineer with a strong engineering foundation and 5+ years of experience delivering and supporting infrastructure or industrial projects. This role is hands-on and client-facing — you’ll contribute to everything from strategic analysis to on-site assessments, helping the entire Emerald Group deliver results, not just reports.

What You’ll Do

  1. Support engineering advisory work across power infrastructure, mission-critical systems, and large-scale data center development.
  2. Interface with strategic advisory teams to bring technical rigor to M&A, market entry, and operational improvement engagements.
  3. Conduct and support site visits, engineering reviews, and project execution planning, especially in utility-scale power environments.
  4. Analyze project plans, system designs, and vendor deliverables — and flag risks, gaps, or opportunities.
  5. Contribute to financial and technical modeling, with a focus on power capacity planning, cost benchmarking, and performance optimization.
  6. Develop client-ready content including briefing decks, strategy papers, and technical reports.
  7. Operate cross-functionally across Emerald’s three businesses: Strategy Partners, Capital Partners, and our Infrastructure Project Execution team.

What We’re Looking For

  1. 5+ years of experience in engineering, infrastructure delivery, or power systems projects.
  2. Degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial, or systems engineering (or related field).
  3. Exposure to or experience within data center, grid, or large infrastructure sectors.
  4. Strong understanding of engineering process, project lifecycles, and system integration.
  5. Familiarity with utility coordination, interconnection, and EPC contractor collaboration is a plus.
  6. Advanced Excel skills required; power system modeling and/or project finance modeling a plus.
  7. Client-facing maturity — able to engage with senior stakeholders and represent Emerald with confidence.
  8. Self-directed, articulate, and excited to contribute in both technical and strategic capacities.

Why This Role is Different

  1. You won’t just sit in the engine room — you’ll be part of the bridge crew helping steer projects from concept to execution.
  2. You'll learn from ex-GE, Alstom, and global industrial execs, and grow your skills fast.
  3. Work with elite global clients on projects that define the future of digital infrastructure.
  4. Competitive pay, high trust, global exposure, and the opportunity to grow into a leadership role.

What We Offer

  1. Competitive Salary and full health benefits
  2. 401k contributions
  3. A positive and fast-paced work environment
  4. Rapid growth opportunities in a fast-paced industry
