Brycon Corporation in the United States seeks a construction project estimator/coordinator to review plans, prepare cost estimates, and develop schedules with management. You will attend job walks and design review meetings, coordinate with subcontractors, and track RFIs and changes to keep projects on track.

Candidates should have strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills, plus experience interpreting drawings and using common construction software.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED; 4-year degree preferred in construction, engineering, architecture or business.
• 2-5 years of experience in advanced technology and/or commercial projects; general contractor experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Extremely organized; able to manage multiple projects.
• Advanced knowledge of preconstruction phase, bidding, estimating, accounting, risk management, safety, budget control, schedule control, submittals, change orders, and quality.
• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, and interdependence with design teams.
• Ability to multitask and work without direct supervision.
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other team members when help is needed.

Responsabilidades

• Track and document all city and special inspections and permits as required.
• Prepare status reports and monitor contractor performance.
• Keep an accurate record and database of all project elements.
• Coordinate and monitor assigned projects and ensure compliance with codes, QA/QC policies and safety standards.
• Interact daily with clients to interpret their needs and represent them in the project.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Review project plans, design drawings, proposals, customer requirements performance standards, and project specifications to prepare cost estimates and schedules, then work with management to develop project

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED required. A 4-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, architecture or business is strongly preferred
• In lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable
• 2-5 years of experience in advanced technology and/or commercial projects, including experience with a general contractor is strongly preferred
• Previous experience on advanced technology job sites is strongly preferred

• A solid working knowledge of the following computer software is also required:

• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, , plus an in-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional construction and design teams.
