Job summary

DCS Contracting, Inc. in Chandler, AZ, is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support projects from award through closeout alongside project management and field teams.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, have internship or field exposure, and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills while growing toward project leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Internship or experience in heavy civil construction preferred.
• Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with field and office personnel.
• Desire to learn and grow within the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with day-to-day project administration and coordination.
• Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking project progress.
• Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documents.
• Coordinate with owners, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Participate in project meetings and help drive action items to completion.
• Track submittals, RFIs, permits, and project documentation.
• Assist with project cost tracking and production monitoring.
• Support field operations and help ensure project quality, safety, and compliance standards.
• Build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
• Contribute to successful project delivery.

What You'll Do
