Job summary

DCS Contracting, Inc. in Chandler, AZ, is seeking a Project Engineer to support project teams from award to closeout. You’ll work closely with project management and field operations, gaining exposure to scheduling, contracts, and project financials.

You’ll collaborate with owners, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams, develop technical details, and contribute to safe, on-time project delivery. This role offers a path to project management leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, or a related field
  • Internship or experience in heavy civil construction preferred
  • Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation
  • Strong organization and time-management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with field and office personnel
  • Desire to learn and grow within the construction industry
  • Positive attitude and willingness to take ownership of responsibilities
  • Experience with construction management software is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers with day-to-day project administration and coordination
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking project progress
  • Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documents
  • Coordinate with owners, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
  • Participate in project meetings and drive action items to completion
  • Track submittals, RFIs, permits, and project documentation
  • Assist with project cost tracking and production monitoring
  • Support field operations and ensure quality, safety, and compliance
  • Build relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Contribute to successful project delivery

What You’ll Do

As a Project Engineer, you’ll support projects from award through closeout while working closely with project management and field operations teams.
