Job Description:

We are seeking an onsite Construction Engineer to work with the Project Team in planning, developing, coordinating, and managing construction activities for industrial projects, primarily Water/Wastewater Treatment plants, as well as factories, data centers, mainly in Western Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage project engineering personnel and activities, including planning, work assignments, and disciplinary actions.
2. Ensure compliance with company and contract requirements, supporting the construction schedule (Primavera P6).
3. Provide technical support, participate in construction planning and design, interpret design documents, and resolve design conflicts.
4. Develop and implement project engineering procedures, manage submittals, RFIs, material deliveries, and payment requests.
5. Represent the company in meetings with A/E, clients, and project management.
6. Coordinate on-site departments to resolve issues and maintain quality and schedule.
7. Oversee pre-construction, design-build services, and business development efforts.
8. Collaborate with the Superintendent to control costs and budgets.
9. Prepare and submit monthly cost, income, and cash flow projections.
10. Approve subcontractor requisitions and vendor invoices.
11. Assist in settlement of change orders and claims.
12. Respond promptly to issues, proactively solve problems, and handle multiple tasks.
13. Organize office and filing systems efficiently, maintaining accurate project correspondence files.
14. Ensure subcontractor insurance compliance.
15. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
• At least 5 years of construction engineering experience in heavy industrial projects.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with leadership abilities.
• PE registration preferred but not required.
