Job Description

Working onsite with the Project Team to plan, develop, coordinate, and manage onsite construction engineering activities for Industrial projects, primarily Water/Wastewater Treatment plant construction, along with factories, data centers, mainly in Western Pennsylvania.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Manage project engineering and related personnel functions, including planning, work assignments, and disciplinary actions.
2. Ensure compliance with company and contract requirements, supporting the construction schedule (Primavera P6).
3. Provide technical support, participate in planning and design, interpret designs, and resolve conflicts.
4. Develop and administer project engineering procedures, submittals, RFIs, expedite materials, and manage payments.
5. Represent the company in meetings with A/E, clients, and project management.
6. Coordinate with onsite departments to resolve issues and ensure quality and schedule adherence.
7. Oversee pre-construction, design-build services, and business development efforts.
8. Work with the Superintendent to control costs and budgets.
9. Prepare and submit financial projections and manage requisitions and invoices.
10. Coordinate change orders and claims.
11. Respond quickly to issues, proactively solve problems, and handle multiple tasks.
12. Organize office and project documentation efficiently.
13. Maintain subcontractor insurance compliance.
14. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Over 5 years of construction engineering experience in heavy industrial projects.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards.
• Excellent communication and team management skills.
• PE registration is preferred but not required.
