Job summary

Boutique Recruiting is seeking a Project Engineer for a design-build contractor handling large commercial, educational, and manufacturing projects nationwide. You will assist with documentation, scheduling, field support, and coordination from $5M to $30M projects.

Ideal candidates have 0-6 years in commercial construction, a ground-up experience, and are able to travel up to 2-3 days per month. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
• Support project buyouts and procurement activities
• Coordinate project schedules and milestone tracking
• Assist with field operations and superintendent support
• Work with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
• Support change order administration and project controls
• Maintain accurate project records and reporting
• Travel to job sites at least twice a month for 2-3 days

Position Title: Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer, you'll gain hands-on exposure to every phase of the construction process while working alongside experienced project leaders on projects valued from $5 million to $30 million. You'll play a critical role in project coordination, documentation, scheduling, and field support while developing the skills necessary to advance into project management and leadership positions. Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000+ / Year DOE

Responsibilities

• Manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
• Support project buyouts and procurement activities
• Coordinate project schedules and milestone tracking
• Assist with field operations and superintendent support
• Work with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
• Support change order administration and project controls
• Maintain accurate project records and reporting
• Travel to job sites at least twice a month for 2-3 days

Requirements

• 0-6 years of commercial construction experience
• Experience with ground-up construction projects
• Experience working for a general contractor preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• Willingness to travel overnight as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Tilt-up or precast construction experience
• Education construction experience
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Bachelor's degree
• Estimating or preconstruction experience
