Job summary

LeoForce seeks a Project Engineer to join our Construction team in Berkeley. The role focuses on civil sitework, coordinating with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure timely, safe project delivery.

You will design, develop, and manage multiple construction projects while maintaining quality and budget controls. The ideal candidate has mid-level experience, strong problem-solving, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in construction project engineering.
  • Proficient in civil sitework, RFI management, scheduling, budgeting, blueprint reading, materials control, safety procedures, and handling change orders.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement construction projects using Civil Sitework expertise.
  • Review blueprints and schematics to identify issues and solutions.
  • Prepare and submit RFIs and follow up on responses.
  • Manage project scheduling and ensure milestones are met.
  • Develop and manage project budgets within financial parameters.
  • Procure and manage materials to prevent delays.
  • Implement safety procedures and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Handle change orders and communicate changes to stakeholders.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers for seamless execution.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality/safety audits.

Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and proactive Project Engineer to join our fast-paced Construction team. The successful candidate will be involved in a diverse range of construction projects, working closely with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure the smooth and successful completion of construction projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.



Responsibilities


  • Utilize your expertise in Civil Sitework to design, develop, and implement construction projects.

  • Review, interpret, and analyze blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to identify potential issues and develop effective solutions.

  • Prepare and submit RFI's in a timely manner and follow up on responses.

  • Manage all aspects of project scheduling, ensuring all milestones are met within the agreed timeline.

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring all projects are delivered within the set financial parameters.

  • Manage materials, ensuring efficient utilization and timely procurement to avoid any project delays.

  • Implement and oversee safety management procedures, ensuring all projects adhere to industry standards and regulations.

  • Handle change orders, ensuring they are accurately documented and effectively communicated to all relevant parties.

  • Liaise with various stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality and safety standards are met.



Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry.

  • Proficient in Civil Sitework, RFI's, construction management, scheduling, budgeting, blueprint reading, materials management, safety management, and change orders.

  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve potential issues swiftly and effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Proficient in the use of construction management software and tools.

  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various project sites as required.

  • A strong commitment to safety, with a thorough understanding of industry safety standards and regulations.

  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification would be an advantage.
