Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to support project managers and collaborate with internal teams and external customers on mechanical service and construction activities.

You will help ensure projects meet budget, schedule, and contract requirements while supporting the owner/client satisfaction and company goals. Responsibilities include documenting procurement, preparing reports, and coordinating QA and safety across subcontractors.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years related experience in construction industry preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree with a Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management focus OR pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree with a Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management focus.
  • Experience at the advanced level using Accubid, Microsoft Project and Bluebeam.
  • Familiarity with local municipal jurisdictional procedures with regard to plan reviews, permitting, applicable codes, inspections, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, peers, supervisors, administrative staff, field workers, vendors and subcontractors.
  • Estimate, budget and control labor and material cost.
  • Understand project plans, specifications and schedule and the resources needed to complete the project on time and within budget.
  • Prepare timely and complete project documentation (RFI's, submittals, schedule updates, time records, change orders).
  • Coordinate, schedule and support quality assurance, safety and subcontract work.

About Us

We are a single-source solution for the design and implementation of sophisticated mechanical and plumbing systems. Our integrated in-house production model utilizes coordinated BIM models to produce precise fabrication documentation to help ensure accurate installation.

Job Summary

The Project Engineer is responsible to support project manager(s) and collaboratively work with internal administration, support and technical personnel, as well as external customers in coordinating and supporting mechanical service and construction activities to meet both project and company objectives. Supports all aspects of projects within the established budget and time allotted according to the contract documents, plans and specifications to the Owner/Client satisfaction and in the best interest of Trautman & Shreve.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, peers, supervisors, administrative staff, field craft workers, field supervision, vendors, and subcontractors based on respect, trust and integrity

Estimate, budget and control labor and material cost

Understand project plans, specifications and schedule as well as the resources necessary to complete the project on time and within budget

Prepare timely, accurate and complete project documentation, including but not limited to, RFI's submittals, schedule updates, time records, supplemental work orders, change order pricing, and general project correspondence

Conduct, document and track procurement activities and efforts, but not limited to, commodity materials, consumables, necessary tools and equipment, major equipment packages and subcontracts

Coordinate, schedule and support quality assurance, safety and subcontract work

The specific daily tasks may vary by project type, project requirements, and project schedule.

Qualifications

Compensation Range: Minimum $65,000 maximum $75,000

Other Compensation: position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
