Job summary

Syensqo is seeking a Project Engineer to work at our Augusta, GA site. You will plan, execute, and monitor capital projects, bringing at least 7 years of operational technical knowledge and experience with PSM regulations and contractor coordination.

Responsibilities include preparing and executing sustaining capital projects, defining project scope with engineers, managing cost estimates and installation, leading PSM audits, and maintaining environmental standards at the plant.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of operational technical knowledge with PSM regulations/training.
  • Experience coordinating contractor activities and audits.
  • Knowledge of environmental permits, ES-01 through ES-10, and RCRA.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to organize work and resources effectively.

Responsibilities

We are looking for:

We are looking for a Project Engineer to work at iur Augusta, Ga site toExperience planning, execution, and monitoring capital projects. You will need a minimum of 7 years of operational technical knowledge with experience with PSM regulations/training and contractor coordination.

We count on you for:

  • Responsible for preparation and execution of sustaining capital projects and minor property items;
  • Works jointly with process/production/design engineers in defining the scope of projects;
  • Responsible for project cost estimates and coordinating project design and installation activities;
  • Leads, and provides support to HAZOP unit studies.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance of PSM for the Augusta site. Coordinate and lead site PSM internal/external audits.
  • Perform required safety audits per the Augusta Plant yearly audit plan.
  • Attend plant-wide safety/wellness sessions.
  • Review/perform required safety audits, JSA’s and What-if scenarios.
  • Complete all required CBTs on time.
  • Participate in PSM, PHA, and PSSR field reviews, as well as Follow-Up Incident investigations as needed.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all plant environmental standards, ES-01 through ES-10.
  • Know the environmental permit limits for your assigned plant (air, waste water, storm water).
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the Hazardous Waste Rules (RCRA) to include storage, handling, sampling, transporting, manifesting, record keeping, and emergency response.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the facility environmental plans (SPCC, Storm Water Pollution Prevention).

You will bring:

  • B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. Minimum of BS ChE preferred, other engineering disciplines considered
  • Strong experience in PSM
  • Excellent communication skills with people at all levels
  • Driven to improve PSM and work processesDemonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Effective organizer of work and resources

You will get:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $112,000 to $140,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
  • 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations.
