Job summary

HIROTEC America, a global industry leader, seeks a Project Engineer to join our team in Auburn Hills, MI. You will plan and manage project scope, coordinate resources and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining quality and cost targets.

You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing, provide technical guidance, support field service and installation activities, and travel nationally and internationally as needed. We value teamwork and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Knowledge of the automotive industry (closures/BIW- OEM preferred) and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, teamwork and leadership skills.
• Ability to travel for service and installation, nationally and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Review project proposals to determine scope, time frame, funding limitations and resources.
• Provide technical expertise for project execution, including design buy-off and build integration.
• Outline work plans, assign duties and manage project scope with the team.
• Prepare project reports for management, clients and stakeholders.
• Aim to continually improve Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Safety (QDCS).
• Confer with project staff to resolve problems and provide technical guidance.

Currently, we are seeking a Project Engineer to become a part of the HIROTEC team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• reviewing project proposal or planning to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
• customer contact and technical expertise for overall project execution, including but not limited to tool process, design buy-off, and build integration of the project.
• Throughout the life of the project, candidate will confer with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
• Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required.
• Prepare project reports for management, client, or others.
• In addition, candidate will work to continually strive to improve Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Safety (QDCS).
• Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.

Position Requirements:

• a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Knowledge of the automotive industry (closures/BIW- OEM preferred), computer skills-Microsoft Office Products, technical aptitude with problem solving skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal/ communication skills, and must possess strong organizational skills, teamwork and leadership skills.
• Ability to travel for service and installation, both nationally and internationally.
