Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Project Engineer on the North Slope, Alaska for a 19+ month assignment. This role supports construction execution and project management, assisting the Project Manager with administrative duties, contract management, cost control, and scheduling for one large scope or multiple smaller scopes.

You will lead Field Engineers, oversee start-up and commissioning activities, and ensure HSE compliance with LOTO oversight.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in an operational role within industrial construction.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, contract administration, and cost control.
  • Experience with construction drawings, technical specifications, and RFIs.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and commissioning processes.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, including engineers, site staff, and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in fast‑paced, project‑driven environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage contract administration and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with project deliverables.
  • Coordinate with engineering, field staff, and client teams to facilitate smooth communication and problem-solving.
  • Support the implementation of Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) processes and project tracking systems.
  • Serve as primary liaison with the EOR as well as fabricators and vendors.
  • Provide oversight and leadership to Field Engineers, ensuring proper execution of construction activities.
  • Participate in HSE plans, ensuring adherence to safety standards and LOTO oversight.
  • Assist in start-up and commissioning, ensuring that all systems meet project specifications.
  • Conduct site visits and walkdowns to validate construction progress and milestones.
  • Contribute to the planning and scheduling process throughout various construction phases.
  • Monitor project progress, track costs, and analyze schedule impacts.
  • Provide short-term scheduling support, ensuring alignment with the master project schedule.
  • Integrate subcontractor schedules into the overall project timeline.

Project Engineer

Location: North Slope, Alaska. Project Duration: 19+ months. Schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation on the North Slope, 10 hours per day.

Role Overview

The Project Engineer will play a critical role in supporting construction execution and project management.
