Project Director, Grants Management (REMOTE ROLE - DMV area)

PROJECT DIRECTOR, Grants Management

ICF seeks a motivated and experienced Project Director to manage a large government contract providing federal grants financial management training and technical assistance (TTA) services. You will support U.S. grantees in building financial management capacity and infrastructure to improve federal award management.

Position Details: This REMOTE position requires residence in the DMV area and obtaining a Public Trust Clearance prior to start.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead national training and technical assistance projects focused on enhancing grants financial management capacity for federal grantees.
  2. Build and maintain trusted relationships with federal clients, fostering a culture of excellence, providing prompt responses, and supporting business development.
  3. Provide strategic and practical leadership for the delivery of innovative, results-driven TTA services.
  4. Ensure project quality, supervise staff, monitor utilization, and conduct performance reviews.
  5. Coordinate TTA needs assessments, develop customized plans, and deliver high-quality services responsive to client needs.
  6. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, public policy, administration, criminal justice, business, or related field.
  • At least 10 years of project management experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing nationwide projects.
  • US citizenship and eligibility for a Public Trust security clearance.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of social science research, evidence-based programs, and federal grants management statutes.
  • Experience delivering national training or technical assistance.
  • Experience working with Tribal Governments and advocating for AI/AN issues.
  • Strong multi-tasking, communication, and partnership-building skills.
  • Experience managing large budgets and overseeing multi-faceted projects.
