Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) seeks a Project Director to lead the delivery of large EPC projects, with full accountability for safety, scope, schedule, cost, and client satisfaction. You will act as the primary client interface, directing multidisciplinary teams, and coordinating with strategic partners to meet business objectives while ensuring compliance with HSE standards.

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in related projects, including several years at Senior Project Management level.
  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering and possession of a P.E. license.

Responsibilities

  • Assures safe project execution to client satisfaction, meeting cost, schedule and contractual requirements.
  • Delivers financial, HSE, client satisfaction, budget and schedule performance.
  • Serves as the prime client contact and leads the project management team to successful completion.
  • Ensures project execution adheres to company policies, procedures, and requirements.
  • Manages activities of project personnel and coordinates with sales during proposal phases.
  • Defines scope of work and negotiates changes with the client.
  • Plans and revises project execution while ensuring adherence to the plan.
  • Keeps client and company informed of project status.
  • Abides by business ethics and corporate standards.

Project Director, EPC

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.

KBR is looking for a Project Director to lead the successful delivery of large, complex EPC projects valued at more than $1 billion, with full accountability for safety, financial performance, schedule, quality, and client satisfaction. Serve as the primary client interface, providing executive leadership across project planning, execution, contract management, and delivery. Direct multidisciplinary teams and strategic partners to achieve business objectives while ensuring compliance with company standards and HSE requirements.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Assures safe project execution to the client’s satisfaction, consistent with cost, schedule and contractual requirements while maintaining bottom line responsibility for financial success.
  • Delivers expected results for financial, HSE, client satisfaction, budget and schedule performance.
  • Serves as prime point of contact between the client and company.
  • Assures the project execution is in accordance with policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company.
  • Manages and coordinates activities of all project personnel by direct supervision, through subordinates or through joint ventures, alliances, etc. In the proposal phase, works closely with Sales to evaluate and interpret requirements. May serve as a proposal manager.
  • Defines precise scope of work and identify changes between the original proposal and final contractual agreement.
  • Negotiates changes with the client.
  • Plans the project execution and revises the plan as necessary and assures adherence to the plan.
  • Keeps the client and company advised of project status.
  • Leads the project management team and is responsible for the successful completion of the project. Abides by our business ethics.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in related projects with an average of 20+ years which includes several years of Senior Project Management level experience.
  • Skills typically required through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering and possession of a P.E
