Project Director (Statistical Consultant) – $130/hr Employment Type: Part-time, Contract Annual Hours: 100 hours Work Location: Remote via teleconference (occasional Albany, NY presence if needed) Company: ESO Consultants LLC About the Role: ESO Consultants LLC is seeking a seasoned Project Director with a strong background in statistics, audit methodology, and public assistance data programs. This role will lead and oversee analytical and audit-related tasks in collaboration with the OTDA Bureau of Audit and Quality Improvement (A&QI). The Director will manage engagements related to SNAP, TANF, and MOE programs and ensure all outputs meet federal and state compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities: ● Direct statistical projects including audits, special studies, and quality control reviews. ● Serve as the lead advisor on sampling methodologies, audit procedures, and data interpretation. ● Develop customized statistical tools, audit frameworks, and reporting mechanisms. ● Prepare and deliver expert affidavits, reports, and presentations as required by OTDA. ● Provide strategic input for data-driven policy reviews and audit defenses. ● Supervise the work of assigned analysts and ensure deliverables meet contract timelines. Required Qualifications: ● Doctorate in Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field OR Master’s with 5+ years of experience in statistical work with a government agency. ● Proven leadership in government consulting or audit services. ● Deep understanding of federal benefit programs (e.g., SNAP/TANF). ● Exceptional analytical, communication, and technical writing skills.
