Job summary

Hawaiian Electric Company, based in Pearl City–Oahu, seeks a Professional to support Project Developers with comprehensive project management activities from initiation through closeout. You will help with budgeting, scheduling, risk analyses, and regulatory coordination to keep major projects on track.

You will develop dashboards, prepare analyses and presentations, track costs and progress, and ensure compliance with PUC and other requirements while supporting reporting to senior leadership

Qualifications

• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and capital project budgets in utilities.
• Proficient with MS Project and Excel for project tracking.
• Understanding of GAAP and utility accounting.
• Knowledge of project management principles and EV analysis.
• Ability to learn permitting processes and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supports Project Developers with initiation, planning, execution, control, and closeout.
• Maintains project information and management system interfaces.
• Develops cost reports, risk analyses, and schedules.
• Creates dashboards and supports progress presentations.
• Supports compliance with regulatory and external approvals.
• Prepares reports for regulatory hearings and stakeholder communications.
• Monitors budgets and schedules; tracks design, permits, materials, construction.
• Assists with near-term closeouts and accounting closeout of projects.
• Supports budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc management reports.
• Participates in emergency response as assigned.
