Job summary

Hawaiian Electric is seeking a professional Finance Administrator to oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial management for the Energy Delivery division. This role supports regulatory filings, cost management and cross‑department collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in accounting or finance, CPA preferred, and extensive experience with budgeting software and ERP systems. Location may be Oahu, Maui, or Hawaii Island.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis skills.
• Experience preparing regulatory filings and reports.
• Knowledge of GAAP and compliance with accounting standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and ERP tools.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers budgets and forecasts for the division.
• Monitors expenditures, analyzes variances and supports cost control.
• Prepares external financial and regulatory reports (PUC, EEI, rate cases).
• Provides financial management support and cross‑department coordination.
• Leads financial analysis and coordinates with engineers on projects.
