The Project Designer [I/II/III] supports SC Swiderski's design process by providing technical design and documentation of residential, multifamily, and mixed-use projects from conceptual design through construction documents. This position serves as a primary design resource, coordinates consultants, mentors staff, and helps ensure projects meet company standards for quality, constructability, schedule, and client expectations. This position plays a key role in ensuring design documents are accurate, code-compliant, and aligned with SCS standards for quality, efficiency, and innovation. As employees progress through Levels I, II & III, they assume greater independence, technical complexity, project leadership, mentoring responsibility, and company-wide influence over design standards and practices.
The work schedule for the Design Specialist [I/II/III] generally requires 40 to 45 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with occasional hours outside of that range, including evenings, as business necessitates. Occasional in-state travel may be required.
Work is performed primarily in a professional office setting with collaboration across Development, Design, Construction, Project Management, Marketing, consultants, municipalities, and company leadership. Occasional work at properties, development sites, and active construction sites is required.
