Job summary

Lair Design in Seattle seeks a Project Designer/Architect with 3–6 years of experience to work across both Lair Design and Workshop AD studios. You will lead or support projects from early design through construction, focusing on housing, hospitality, and multifamily work in the Pacific Northwest.

Requirements include proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite, plus knowledge of land use, building, and energy codes.

Lair Design (interior architecture) and Workshop AD (architecture) are partner studios that share one team.

Our work is a collective effort committed to material, craft, and exploration, guided by the belief that primal ideas give spaces deeper meaning. This approach inspires us to pursue design critically, insightfully, and imaginatively. Our current project types include hospitality, custom homes, middle housing, and multifamily housing within the Pacific Northwest and Alaska.

We seek a Project Designer/Architect with three to six years of experience to work across both studios. You'll lead or support projects from early design through construction, and bring:

  • Experience with a range of housing types and an interest in high-performance building
  • Enthusiasm for detailed interior spaces
  • Experience managing projects through construction documents
  • Strong design, graphic, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of land use, building, and energy codes
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Adaptability within a fast-paced environment
  • A desire to contribute to our creative office culture
