Descrição da oferta de emprego

Thoughtful Design. Meaningful Work. Room to Grow.

At SEQUENCE Architecture and Design, we believe good design starts with understanding people. We’re a Denver-based commercial architecture and interior design practice creating thoughtful, functional, and distinctive environments that reflect our clients’ needs and the people who use their spaces.

We value creativity, technical excellence, strong relationships, and a collaborative approach to solving design challenges. We take our work seriously, but not ourselves too seriously, and believe the best projects come from talented people working together.

We’re looking for a qualified individual who brings curiosity, creativity, technical skill, and a genuine interest in being part of a team. If you’re ready to take the next step in your career, contribute to a variety of projects, and continue developing your skills, we’d like to meet you.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Project Designer at SEQUENCE, you’ll contribute to projects from early concepts through construction documentation and completion. Working alongside experienced designers and architects, you’ll help translate client needs into thoughtful design solutions while developing your technical skills and expanding your project experience.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both the creative and practical sides of design—from exploring materials and finishes to developing drawings, coordinating with consultants, and helping bring ideas to life. You’ll work directly with clients and project teams, build relationships with industry partners, and have opportunities to take on increasing responsibility as you grow.

OUR WORK

Our work spans a diverse range of commercial environments, including office and workplace, science and technology, healthcare, hospitality, higher education, restaurant and retail, adaptive reuse, and multifamily repositioning. We enjoy projects that require thoughtful problem-solving and an understanding of how people interact with their surroundings.

The variety of our work gives you the opportunity to explore different building types, materials, design challenges, and project scales while continually expanding your knowledge and perspective.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Contribute to Great Design
  • Help develop design concepts, space plans, finish palettes, furniture selections, and presentation materials that respond to each client’s needs and goals.
Develop the Details
  • Assist with construction documents using Revit, incorporate design redlines, coordinate details, and help maintain design quality and consistency throughout the project.
Collaborate and Coordinate
  • Work alongside architects, interior designers, consultants, contractors, and vendors to keep project information organized, accurate, and aligned.
Work with Clients
  • Participate in client meetings, help communicate design ideas, prepare presentations, and contribute to a positive and productive client experience.
  • Explore new materials, finishes, furnishings, lighting solutions, and design approaches. Build your technical knowledge and learn from the experience of the people around you.
Help Bring Projects to Life
  • Support projects through multiple phases, from initial concepts and design development to documentation, coordination, and construction administration.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • A bachelor’s or technical degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial interior design or architecture.
  • A solid understanding of interior construction, building codes, accessibility standards, and construction documentation.
  • Proficiency in Revit, with working knowledge of CAD, InDesign, Photoshop, and Bluebeam.
  • Competence with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and project teams.
  • Curiosity, initiative, a collaborative attitude, and a desire to keep learning.
  • A demonstrated commitment to pursuing relevant NCIDQ or NCARB professional credentials are valued, but certification is not required for this position.
  • Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a team, and wants to continue growing as a designer or architect.
WHY YOU’LL LIKE IT HERE
Creative Work
  • Contribute ideas, explore design solutions, and help create environments that make a meaningful difference for our clients.
  • Work with a team that values good ideas, open communication, mutual respect, and helping one another succeed.
Room to Grow
  • Build your skills, expand your project experience, and take on greater responsibility as your experience develops.
A Variety of Projects
  • Work across different markets and project types, with opportunities to learn something new along the way.
A Place to Put Down Roots
  • Join a growing practice that values long-term relationships, professional development, and the people who help shape its future.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Our studio is located in downtown Denver. We work in the office Monday through Friday.
WHAT YOU’LL GET
  • 100% employer-paid employee medical insurance.
  • Optional dental and vision insurance, employee-paid.
  • Retirement plan with employer contribution after one year of employment.
  • Paid time off with year-end rollover.
  • 11 paid holidays.
  • Paid parking or transit pass.
  • The equipment and tools you need to do your best work.
  • A collaborative studio environment with opportunities for professional growth.
  • Salary: $60,000–$80,000 per year
A LITTLE ABOUT YOU

You’re thoughtful, curious, and motivated to do good work. You enjoy solving design challenges, care about the details, and understand that successful projects depend on both creative thinking and strong relationships. You’re looking for a team where you can contribute, learn, and build a career—not just move on to the next project. SEQUENCE Architecture and Design is building something for the long term. We’d love to have you be part of it.
