Overview: As a Surgical Project Design Manager at STERIS, you will coordinate Healthcare Design Team resources to expand our healthcare project business. Your role involves serving as a consultant to hospitals and systems during construction or renovation, ensuring the optimal positioning of STERIS’s products and services to meet customer goals. You will develop relationships with architects, consultants, and equipment planners, manage project processes, and oversee stakeholder interests across all project phases, which may range from 6 to 48 months.

This is a remote, customer-facing position based in Nashville, TN, requiring travel up to 40% and compliance with hospital credentialing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a project consultant, identifying customer needs and ensuring design and space planning requirements are met.
• Conduct customer presentations, showcasing STERIS’s complete product and service offerings.
• Act as a technical consultant for account managers, architects, and other stakeholders.
• Define project scope, develop work plans, and manage design deliverables from inception to installation.
• Collaborate with hospital architects and engineers, review drawings, and ensure compliance with codes and budget constraints.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements across all phases.
• Lead large, multidisciplinary projects, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Educate account managers on project cycles and available resources, and conduct training sessions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 6 years of healthcare capital sales experience
• Knowledge of healthcare delivery, architecture, construction, and design processes
• Understanding of space planning, MEP systems, and safety standards
• Ability to travel up to 40% overnight
• Compliance with credentialing requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of sales management experience

Benefits and Compensation:

Competitive salary ($93,000 - $130,200), incentive plan, vehicle reimbursement, cell stipend, comprehensive health benefits, 401(k), parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and more. The role offers on-target earnings of approximately $175,000.
