Job summary

The role emphasizes ADS product expertise, collaboration with customers and internal teams, and the use of CAD tools for accurate product designs. Ideal candidates will read Civil Engineering plans, manage complex tasks independently, and meet turnaround SLAs while improving processes and customer value.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 3–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced skills with Windows and Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel).
  • Detail-oriented and able to work quickly without compromising accuracy.
  • Ability to read Civil Engineering Plans and work with 2D or 3D documents.
  • Advanced Salesforce or other CRM experience for work management or quoting preferred.
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu or other Engineering Mark-Up Software, AutoCAD, or other drafting software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inside Sales responsibilities include assessing civil engineering plans to identify ADS product opportunities and coordinating the Project Resource Center to support sales.
  • Leverage AutoCAD to provide ADS product designs. Use BlueBeam to take-off opportunities and create a Bill of Materials.
  • Prepare quotes from customer lists or Bills of Materials.
  • Maintain SLAs for turnaround times and support various services across the territory.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Project & Design Estimator II to join our team! In this role, you will expand knowledge beyond your assigned region, contribute to continuous improvement, and act as a change agent. This role requires strong expertise in ADS products, effective communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and independently complete complex tasks. The Project Resource Center provides inside sales services that increase ADS product opportunities and specifications on projects, enhancing ADS sales opportunities and customer value.

  • Inside Sales Responsibilities include:
    • Assessing Civil Engineering Plans to identify the opportunities for ADS products and managing the Project Resource Center’s work to support sales in winning this work
    • Leveraging ADS Design Tools or AutoCAD to provide ADS product designs
    • Leveraging BlueBeam to “Take Off” ADS product opportunities from civil engineering plans or internal designs to create a Bill of Materials
    • Completing Quotes based on customer lists or Bills of Materials

Key Responsibilities

Project Services

  • A Project Design and Estimator 2 independently completes work with no review or oversight.
  • A Project Design and Estimator 2 may start to specialize in more complex work within a service or larger areas of assignment or begin broadening skills to be able to perform multiple services.
  • Assists with territory-specific questions from others.
  • Consistently meet SLAs for turnaround times.

Issue Resolution

  • Prioritize urgent and more complex work within your assigned area.
  • Awareness of Service Level Agreements across queues and propose shifts to supervisors if needed.
  • Ability to identify issues provided on internal or external material lists/plans and present possible solutions.

Communication and Collaboration

  • An ability to answer basic general questions and more advanced territory-specific questions if needed.
  • Verbal and written communication is clear, concise, and easily understood, ensuring accurate interpretation of work details or project take-offs.
  • Confidently communicate with Customers, Sales, and Team members in the most effective channel (Call, Text, Email, Teams, etc.).
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify and ask advanced questions specific to the primary territory.
  • Be visible while interacting on video calls in accordance with ADS Dress Code.

Relationship Building

  • Establish relationships with mentors, team members, and the outside sales team.
  • Seek out advice and ask questions proactively.
  • Show initiative and responsibility in throughput.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet business goals and assist in other areas when directed.

Performance and Quality

  • Perform all daily tasks from the Associate role independently and without review.
  • Consistently meet SLAs for case/quote turnaround times and may exceed SLAs for Associate level work.
  • Start to specialize in more complex work or larger areas of assignment, or begin broadening skills to perform takeoffs, quotes, and drawings.
  • Display accountability and dependability in the execution of assigned projects.
  • Actively track progress on goals and make achievements and opportunities for improvement visible to supervisors.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to expand your knowledge beyond your assigned region.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement activities, collaborating with team members to identify inefficiencies and suggest process improvements.
  • Offer solutions when pain points in processes/procedures are recognized.
  • Seen as a change agent – first to adopt changes that increase efficiency.
  • Demonstrate openness to receiving constructive feedback and use it as an opportunity for growth and improvement.
