Job summary

SupportFinity™ is looking for a Project Delivery Manager in Lakewood, Colorado, to lead engineering teams and manage project delivery. Responsibilities include providing technical guidance, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring quality and compliance across all projects.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, PMP certification, and over six years of experience in transmission and distribution engineering. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential.

Job description

Power your future with Qualus in our Engineering department as a Project Delivery Manager. This is a professional position responsible for managing, training, coordinating, and providing oversight of project management services and all aspects of successfully delivering project work products. This position is also responsible for implementing best practices, pursuing business development opportunities and maintaining good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and management to engineering, design, GIS and drafting teams, supporting established organization objectives by developing goals and strategies, and overseeing group financials.
  • Responsible for leading projects through all internal and external processes, and navigate the project life cycle
  • Responsible for the overall management of the project scope, schedule, and cost
  • Accountable for key project decision‑making
  • Responsible for utilization and workload forecasting while maintaining sufficient backlog
  • Oversee technical performance of team while ensuring QA/QC execution and tracking
  • Set best practice engineering methods and adherence tracking, specific to clients served
  • Maintain knowledge of developments in industry codes and regulations
  • Ensure continuous improvement in process and cost‑efficiencies
  • Assess project risk and proactively develop mitigation plans
  • Maintain existing relationships and seek new opportunities in existing contracts
  • Coordinate communication and provide status updates to stakeholders as required
  • Build new relationships within existing clients
  • Support organizational growth objectives
  • Manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules
  • Oversee proposal writing and/or coordination
  • Ensure timesheet approvals
  • Responsible for invoicing review and approval, as well as time and material backlog status
  • Ensure project execution within terms and conditions of contract, including required response times, social media postings, PO limits, and labor classifications
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other similarly related technical field
  • Six (6) or more years of experience in transmission and distribution engineering, including a minimum of three (3) years of management experience leading engineering teams
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable project management software (Primavera P6, Project, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of design and construction principles and practices, including computer applications
  • Extensive knowledge of field techniques for construction, safe working practices, project management practices and financials
  • Extensive client relationships and professional network within industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Action‑mindset: Ability to move from thinking about something to doing it
  • Strong team player: Accomplish tasks by working with others and recognizing how his/her decisions may impact the team and have a willingness to seek input from others
  • Time Management: Ability to successfully plan and accomplish tasks within an established timeline
  • Computer proficiency in operating a personal computer and standard business office applications including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and other related applications
  • Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions at both strategic and functional levels. Work independently with minimal direction as a highly motivated self‑starter
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time on an annual basis.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
