Job summary

HDR is seeking a Project Delivery Lead in Building Engineering to direct and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams from development through close-out. You will manage complex projects, ensure on-time delivery, and maintain client relationships while overseeing budget and staffing across projects.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor's degree, 10 years of related experience, and 5 years of project management expertise, with proficiency in MS Office, scheduling/estimating tools, and familiar software

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 10 years related experience; minimum 5 years of project management experience.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software and project management software.
  • Ability to interact with various design teams and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Active participant in an employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

In the role of Project Delivery Lead, we'll count on you to:

Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project’s lifecycle (from development & initiation to close-out)

Be responsible for all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with high degree of technical complexity, involving a large project staff

Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently

Establish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings

Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders

Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule

Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule

Work with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews

Implement QA/QC procedures

Supervise large project staffs and act as mentor for less-experienced Project Managers

Assist in the responsibility for operations of production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support

Assist with administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sections

Be involved in marketing planning, proposals and interviews

Assist in ensuring that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management system

Implement, monitor and support company policy

Assist in the selection, training, development and management of Project Management and Administration personnel

Work cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production efforts

Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Strong communication and listening skills

A license/certification

PMP certification

Good leadership and organizational skills

Ability to handle multiple assignments

Familiar with Primavera P6 or SureTrak software preferred

Familiar with Procore, Newforma, ACC/Forma, GDrive/Google Suite software preferred

Required Qualifications

  • 10 years related experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management software
  • Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
