Job summary

Avison Young Studio Delivery Services is seeking a Project Cost Engineer with 5–10 years of experience managing project financials in design-build or construction. You will support budgets, contracts, billing, and closeouts across multiple design phases, collaborating with project managers and accounting teams.

The role requires strong knowledge of ACC, Excel, Smartsheet, and architectural project accounting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting/finance/business
5–10 years of project accounting in design-build/construction or architecture/engineering
Proficiency with ACC, Excel, Smartsheet, and multiple accounting systems
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain project budgets, contracts, commitments, cost codes, and billing schedules.
Monitor project costs, revenue, gross profit, cash flow, and forecasted costs to complete.
Reconcile invoices, change orders, and budgets across multiple systems.
Prepare client progress billings and supporting documentation (AIA where applicable).
Support accounting for design services, including phase-based billing and costs.
Provide regular financial reviews and variance analyses with project managers.
