Job summary

QISG in Tulsa, OK is seeking Cost Specialists II/III/Senior to act as the financial pulse on large EPC energy and utility projects across North America. You will own costs, monitor budgets, and develop forecasts to keep programs on track, partnering with Project Managers and leadership.

Ideal candidates have advanced Excel and JDE/EcoSys/Procore skills, plus a Bachelor's in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or Finance. Travel up to 15% domestically.

Qualifications

• 3–10+ years of project cost control experience in EPC/energy utilities or infrastructure.
• Strong cost forecasting, budget control, change management and risk analysis.
• Experience in project-based environments, not manufacturing accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own and monitor project costs for large-scale EPC energy and utility projects, including transmission, substations, renewables, and power generation.
• Track budgets, actuals, forecasts, and trends across complex, multi-year projects.
• Develop EAC and ETC forecasts and apply EVM principles to identify variances.
• Identify cost risks and trends early and partner with Project Managers and leadership to address issues.
• Support change management, including change orders and cost impact analysis.
• Partner with Project Managers, Operations, and technical teams to connect execution with financial performance.
• Develop clear cost reports, dashboards, and forecasts for leadership decisions.
• Support Project Controls Execution Plans and maintain compliance with processes and standards.
• Use JDE, EcoSys, Procore, Excel to track, analyze, and report project costs.

QISG is hiring Cost Specialists II, III, and Senior. You’ll be the financial pulse of the project—keeping costs on track, spotting trends before they become problems, and helping the team make informed decisions. You’ll manage budgets, track actuals, analyze variances, build forecasts, and turn project data into clear insights for leadership. Your work will support the successful delivery of large-scale utility, power generation, and renewable energy EPC projects across North America—projects that power what’s next.

What You'll Do

• Own and monitor project costs for large-scale EPC energy and utility projects, including transmission, substations, renewables, and power generation.
• Track budgets, actuals, forecasts, and trends across complex, multi-year projects.
• Develop EAC and ETC forecasts and apply EVM principles, including CPI/SPI, to identify cost and schedule variances.
• Identify cost risks and trends early and partner with Project Managers and leadership to address issues.
• Support change management, including change orders, budget transfers, and cost impact analysis.
• Partner with Project Managers, Operations, and technical teams to connect project execution with financial performance.
• Develop clear cost reports, dashboards, and forecasts to support leadership decisions.
• Support Project Controls Execution Plans and maintain compliance with QISG processes and standards.
• Use JDE, EcoSys, Procore, Excel, and Power BI to track, analyze, and report project costs.
• Serve as a trusted cost controls partner while helping improve project controls processes and practices.

What You'll Bring

• 3–10+ years of project cost control, job costing, or project controls experience, with mid-level and senior-level opportunities available, within EPC, construction, utilities, energy, or infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience with cost forecasting, budget control, change management, and cost/risk analysis.
• Experience supporting project‑based environments, rather than manufacturing or corporate accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with JDE and/or EcoSys; Procore preferred.
• Ability to translate complex cost data into clear, actionable insights for project teams and leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically.
