Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC is seeking a Sr. Cost Specialist to drive cost visibility and financial performance on large EPC energy projects in North America. You will own budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and executive reporting to support informed decisions.

The role requires 6+ years in project controls within EPC/energy, advanced Excel, and familiarity with JDE/EcoSys/Procore. Domestic travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of project cost control experience in EPC/energy infrastructure
• Strong cost forecasting, budget management, and risk analysis
• Experience in project-based capital environments
• Advanced Excel; JDE/EcoSys/Procore experience; Power BI preferred
• Translate cost data into actionable leadership insights
• Bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering/Business/Finance

Responsibilities

• Track, analyze, and control project costs for EPC energy and utility projects
• Monitor budgets, actuals, forecasts, and cost trends in multi-year programs
• Develop EAC and ETC to support accurate forecasting
• Apply Earned Value Management to evaluate performance and variances
• Identify cost risks and escalate issues to PMs and leadership
• Support change management including change orders and budget transfers
• Collaborate with PMs, Operations Directors, and tech teams on financial plans
• Prepare cost reports, dashboards, and forecasts for leadership
• Support Project Controls Execution Plans and ensure process compliance
• Use JDE, EcoSys, Procore, Excel, Power BI for tracking and reporting
• Be a trusted cost control resource and drive continuous improvement

As a Sr. Cost Specialist at QISG, you’ll play a critical role on our Project Controls team, driving cost visibility and financial performance across complex utility, power generation, and renewable energy EPC projects. You’ll own budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, variance analysis, and executive reporting — helping project teams make informed decisions and successfully deliver large-scale infrastructure projects across North America.

What You'll Do

• Track, analyze, and control project costs for EPC energy and utility infrastructure projects, including transmission, substations, renewables, and utility construction.
• Monitor project budgets, actual costs, forecasts, and cost trends across complex, multi-year projects.
• Develop and maintain Estimates at Completion (EAC) and Estimates to Complete (ETC) to support accurate project forecasting.
• Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles (highly preferred) to evaluate project performance, identify cost/schedule variances, and support proactive decision-making.
• Identify cost risks, trends, and deviations while escalating potential issues to Project Managers and leadership.
• Support change management activities, including change orders, budget transfers, and evaluation of cost impacts.
• Partner with Project Managers, Operations Directors, and technical teams to align financial performance with project execution plans.
• Prepare accurate cost reports, dashboards, and forecasts for leadership and project stakeholders.
• Support Project Controls Execution Plans and ensure compliance with company processes and standards.
• Utilize tools such as JDE, EcoSys, Procore, Excel, and Power BI for job cost tracking, analysis, and reporting.
• Act as a trusted cost control resource for assigned projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring

• 6+ years of project cost control or project controls experience withinEPC, construction, utilities, or energy infrastructure environments

• Strong hands-on expertise in cost forecasting, budget management, change management, and cost/risk trend analysis

• Experience in project-based capital environments (not manufacturing or corporate accounting)

• Advanced Excel skills; experience with JDE and/or EcoSys required, Procore preferred

• Ability to translate complex cost data into clear, actionable insights for project leadership

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically
