Job summary

Halmar International is seeking a Cost Engineer to support corporate operations control, focusing on project activity control and forecasting. The role involves collecting production data, validating cost allocations, and coordinating with field teams and accounts payable for accurate subcontractor payments.

Responsibilities include monitoring change orders, analyzing performance trends, and comparing results to budgets to identify variances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, engineering, construction management or related discipline.
• 0–3 years of related engineering experience, project cost control experience, and/or accounting experience.
• ERP experience preferred.
• Proficient interpersonal and organization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather daily production data from the job site.
• Ensure accurate reporting of project production and cost allocation.
• Ensure accurate tracking of change orders with the Owner.
• Coordinate with Field and Accounts Payable to ensure accuracy of subcontractor payment applications.
• Assist in subcontractor compliance and subcontractor management.
• Provide analysis on performance trends.
• Analyze results and compare with budget to pinpoint variances.
• Assist procurement to ensure material supply; verify inventory and schedule purchases and deliveries.
