Job summary

McCormick Taylor, Inc. is seeking a driven Project Accountant to join our Accounting department.

You will serve as a key financial partner supporting the fiscal success of engineering and planning projects from budgeting to closeout, collaborating with Project Managers to ensure accurate data and profitability. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a business field, 1–3 years in project billing or accounting, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is required.
• 1–3 years of experience in project billing or accounting, preferably in A/E/C.
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint and advanced Excel skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and format cost proposals and budgets; input contract budgets and billing tables.
• Prepare, review, and finalize draft invoices ensuring contract terms accuracy.
• Review subconsultant invoices for coding accuracy and PM approvals.
• Track project health, AR aging, and resolve payment issues with PMs/clients.
• Support project closeout with final client/subconsultant billing and unbilled clearing.
