Job description

Role: Project Cost Accountant

Location: Seattle, WA

Pay Rate: $70k-$90k

This is a hybrid role located in Seattle, WA

Our Seattle-based client is looking for a Project Cost Accountant. Candidate must have experience in a customer-facing role, job cost accounting, and strong Excel skills. The Project Cost Accountant role consists of partnering with project managers, managing accounts receivable, and managing project costs.

Responsibilities:

Project Cost Management & Invoicing

• Partner with Project Managers to review data and generate timely, accurate invoices
• Use BST (our ERP platform) to track, manage, and streamline project costs
• Manage accounts receivable with proactive follow-up and issue resolution
• Reconcile and analyze project financials to identify trends and address potential concerns

Financial Insight & Integrity

• Develop metrics that give Project Managers clear visibility into budgets and forecasts
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls to maintain financial accuracy

Collaboration, Training & Process Improvement

• Contribute to firmwide financial strategies and decision-making alongside leadership
• Translate data into actionable insights for teams across the company
• Maintain and update ERP and financial process training materials
• Lead process improvements that drive efficiency and empower teams
• Provide training and support to project teams on financial best practices
