We have partnered with our client in their search for a Project Coordinator/Manager.

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Coordinator/Manager to play a pivotal role in our ambitious expansion plans across the United States. This individual will be instrumental in the successful and timely opening of new retail locations by expertly coordinating all technology-related aspects, with a primary focus on infrastructure deployment. You will be the central point of contact, ensuring seamless collaboration between internal technology teams, external vendors, and other key stakeholders to bring our new stores online efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Coordination: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation for all technology infrastructure components of new store openings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between various technology teams (e.g., network, hardware, security), construction, real estate, operations, and external vendors. Ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals and deliverables.
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the planning, procurement, installation, and testing of all necessary technology infrastructure, including network cabling, internet connectivity, point-of-sale (POS) systems, back-office systems, and other relevant hardware.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external technology vendors for quotes, contracts, scheduling, and performance monitoring. Ensure adherence to service level agreements.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential roadblocks and proactively develop mitigation strategies to ensure projects stay on track and within budget.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, status reports, and issue logs. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and dependencies.
  • Budget Tracking: Monitor and track project budgets related to technology infrastructure, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve any technology-related issues that arise during the new store opening process, escalating when necessary.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the technology deployment process for new store openings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in project coordination or project management, preferably within a retail or multi-site environment.
  • Strong understanding of technology infrastructure deployment in a retail setting, including networking, hardware, and POS systems.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant certification.
  • Experience with large-scale retail rollouts or new store opening processes.
  • Familiarity with IT security best practices in a retail environment.
