Job summary

Cognitioworld is seeking interns and co-op students in engineering/CS to participate in real technical projects and gain hands-on experience in a collaborative team environment.

You'll receive mentorship, contribute to documentation, and develop skills in CAD, MATLAB, and other tools while learning about aerospace and defense applications.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an engineering or related degree program.
• At least 6 months until graduation after internship ends.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Your Role

About You

The company is looking for:

• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in college or technical school, with at least 6 months until graduation after internship ends.
• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
• Strong organization skills, work ethic, and attention to detail.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

• Preferred qualifications include prior internship or work experience in a technical or engineering role.
• Familiarity with Aerospace and Defense industry.
• Basic knowledge of engineering software tools such as CAD and MATLAB.
• Microsoft Access skills.
• Pursuing a degree in engineering or related discipline.

• Estimated starting salary range: $18.13 - $31.72 per hour, varying by skills, experience, and education.

Essential Functions
