Job summary

The City of Dallas is seeking a qualified professional to review and approve plats and engineering plans to ensure compliance with the City’s codes, ordinances, and construction standards. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and experience in construction-related activities or capital projects are required, with at least one year of supervisory/project management responsibilities.

Salary ranges from $62,379.20 to $76,585.60, with starting pay determined by qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, engineering, architecture or construction management.
• Two years of experience in managing construction-related activities, designing/coordinating capital improvement projects, or preparing/negotiating contracts for public/engineering/building projects.
• One year of supervisory/project management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve plats and engineering plans to ensure compliance with the city's codes, ordinances and construction standards.

Education

Bachelor's degree in business/public administration/engineering/architecture/construction management

Two years of construction-related experience

One year supervisory/project management experience

Equivalencies

Certified Construction Manager or Certified Project Manager a plus
